Semi-refined carrageenan is extensively used in sausages, ham, luncheon meat and canned meat products. It improves water retention during mixing and cooking, supports gel formation, increases product firmness and enhances slicing performance.
SRC plays an important role in wet pet food such as canned dog food and cat food. It creates a strong and stable gel network that holds water and meat particles together, resulting in a product with uniform structure and good appearance.
Semi-refined carrageenan is widely used in jelly cups, gel snacks and low-cost gel desserts. It provides a firm and elastic gel texture with good bite and structure.
